After the order ends
Planning ahead:
• Consider making an Advance Health Directive or appointing a Nominated
Support Person to record your preferences for the future.
• Reflect on what helped you during the order and what you would like to do differently if challenges come up again.
• Keep records of your Mental Health Review Tribunal documents in case you need them later.
Self-Advocacy Tip:
• Being off an order doesn’t mean you’re on your own.
• You have the right to ask for help, set boundaries, and make decisions about your care. Recovery is your journey and you’re in charge.
